Andrew Munger is a composer, educator, and multi-percussion artist living in Raleigh, NC. A versatile musician, Andrew has done extensive work with symphonic percussion, West African percussion, drumset, and electronic media, and is currently expanding his horizons to include performing on and composing for the vibraphone and marimba.

Andrew understands the benefits of music education, and is committed to sharing his musical expertise with all who want to learn to play drums and percussion. In his private drum and percussion lessons, Andrew helps students uncover and develop their musical abilities, while challenging them to attain new levels of artistry in their playing. Andrew also offers clinics and workshops on topics ranging from audition preparation to becoming a professional musician and composer.

Andrew has composed several works devoted to music education, including two pieces created in direct collaboration with Wake Forest Elementary Band students. Through his educational commission program, Andrew seeks to introduce young students to modern music and involve them in the compositional process.

In addition to inspiring music students, Andrew enjoys creating beautiful soundscapes for weddings and special events, both as a mallet soloist, and with the Summerglen Duo.
